Job summary

Freeway Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (C+E) drivers to work on our clients contracts across South Manchester and Cheshire. This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and flexible drivers looking for regular Monday to Friday work, with immediate starts available.

You will be working across a variety of contracts and duties, which may include: pallet network deliveries and collections, bulk haulage, trailer swaps, delivery and collection work, operating curtain-sided,

Qualifications

• Full and valid Class 1 (C+E) licence and CPC qualification.
• Digital Tachograph Card and good safety standards required.
• Flexible and reliable with strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Pallet network deliveries and collections across contracts.
• Bulk haulage and trailer swaps using curtain-sided, box and flatbed trailers.
• Delivery and collection work while maintaining safety and paperwork.

Job description

Location: South Manchester & Cheshire
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday
Pay: £17.00 per hour PAYE
Holiday Pay Option: £19.05 per hour including holiday pay
Hours: Typically 06:0007:00 starts
Shifts: Minimum 10 hours paid per shift
Start Date: Immediate starts available

The Role

Freeway Recruitment are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 (HGV C+E) Drivers to work on our clients contracts across South Manchester and Cheshire.

This is an excellent opportunity for reliable and flexible drivers looking for regular Monday to Friday work, with immediate starts available.

You will be working across a variety of contracts and duties, which may include:

• Pallet network deliveries and collections
• Bulk haulage
• Trailer swaps
• Delivery and collection work
• Operating curtain-sided, box and flatbed trailers
• Completing vehicle checks and ensuring all paperwork is completed correctly
• Maintaining high standards of safety and customer service

This is a job-and-finish role, with a minimum of 10 hours paid per shift.

Pay & Benefits

• £17.00 per hour PAYE
• £19.05 per hour if you choose to have holiday pay included in your hourly rate
• Minimum 10 hours paid per shift

Requirements

To be considered for this position, you must have:

• A full and valid Class 1 (C+E) licence
• C+E entitlement held for at least 6 months to 1 year
• At least 6 months experience operating a Class 1 vehicle
• Valid CPC qualification
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No DR, DD, IN or CD endorsements
• A flexible approach, with the ability to work across different contracts when required
• Good communication skills and a professional attitude
