Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking drivers for a straightforward curtainside role based in Pride Park, Derby. This position offers regular Monday–Friday shifts with early starts and nationwide deliveries.

The job is temporary, with umbrella pay (£20/hour) or PAYE (£16/hour plus 28 days' holiday accrual) and no night out requirements. You must hold C+E/Class 1 entitlement, a valid UK driving licence, valid Digital Tachograph and CPC cards, and have at least 1 year Class 1 experience.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and customer service ability.
• C+E/Class 1 entitlement is required.
• A valid UK driving licence is essential.
• A valid Digital Tachograph card is required.
• A valid CPC card is required.
• At least 1 year of Class 1 driving experience is expected.
• Candidates should be aged 25 or older.

Responsibilities

• Drive nationwide deliveries in a 1–3 load schedule.
• Collect unit and trailer from Derby, then load from Ilkeston.
• Maintain regular communication with Derby client and provide updates.
• Work Monday to Friday with start times 05:00–08:00; approx. 10–11 hours per day.
• Rate: umbrella £20/hour or PAYE £16/hour with 28 days holiday accrual.

• Collect unit and trailer from Derby, and then collect your load from Ilkeston.
• The amount of deliveries you will have ranges between 1 and 3. These are Nationwide deliveries, and tehre are no requirements to night out.
• Good communication is required by yourself, with our client at Derby, giving regular updates.
• Duration: This is regular work, and it is ongoing.
• Contract Type: Temporary
• Hourly Rate: Umbrella Rate is £20 per hour.orPAYE rate is £16 per hour with 28 days holiday by accrual.
