Job summary

Millison Chase Limited Recruitment is recruiting experienced HGV C+E Class 1 Container Drivers for ongoing container transport work across the UK. We seek reliable, professional drivers to move containers between ports, distribution centres, rail terminals, storage depots, and customer delivery sites nationwide.

Drivers will handle loaded and empty containers, complete paperwork and port checks, and adhere to site procedures.

Qualifications

Valid UK HGV C+E (Class 1) Licence.
Valid Driver CPC Card.
Digital Tachograph Card.
Minimum 1 year Class 1 driving experience.
Good communication and timekeeping skills.
Port cards such as DP World or similar accreditation (not essential).
Experience operating sliding skeletal trailers.

Responsibilities

Transporting loaded and empty shipping containers nationwide.
Completing collections and deliveries between ports, rail terminals, depots, RDCs and customer sites.
Carrying out container lock and seal checks before departure.
Ensuring all transport and port paperwork is completed accurately.
Following booking times and port collection procedures.
Carrying out daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
Reporting defects and operational issues promptly.
Following drivers hours and tachograph regulations.
Operating vehicles safely and professionally at all times.
Maintaining excellent communication with transport planners, ports, and customers.
