Job summary

Millison Chase Ltd is recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) drivers for ongoing general haulage work across the UK. You will join a team delivering general haulage for established transport and logistics clients, with day, night and weekend shifts available.

Expect weekly PAYE pay and a direct payroll setup. Roles include trunking, safety checks, and paperwork, with opportunities across day, night and weekend slots to suit regular or additional hours.

Qualifications

• A valid UK Category C+E / HGV Class 1 Licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Good understanding of Drivers' Hours and Tachograph regulations.
• Experience of general haulage is preferred.
• Good knowledge of UK roads and motorway networks.
• Professional and reliable attitude.
• Good communication and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• General haulage deliveries and collections.
• Drive HGV Class 1 articulated vehicles.
• Carry out trunking and depot-to-depot deliveries.
• Complete daily vehicle and trailer safety checks.
• Ensure fifth wheel and trailer are securely coupled.
• Complete delivery paperwork and documentation.
• Report vehicle or trailer defects.
• Follow Drivers' Hours, Tachograph and Working Time regulations.
• Maintain professional standards when dealing with clients.
