HGV Class 1 & Class 2 Drivers

Location: Peterborough PE2

Pay Rates:

Bulk Driver: £15.55 per hour + 2 hours' extra pay for every completed shift, regardless of the number of hours worked.

Class 1 Linehaul (Days): £17.35 per hour

Class 1 Linehaul (Nights): £18.35 per hour

Contract: Temporary Ongoing

Shifts: Day & Night Shifts Available

We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) and HGV Class 2 (Category C) Drivers for a well-established logistics client. We have opportunities available for both Bulk Drivers and Class 1 Linehaul Drivers, with ongoing work and immediate starts available.

Whether you prefer straightforward trunking or a more varied linehaul role, we have a position to suit you.

Bulk Driver (Class 1 or Class 2)

This role primarily involves trunking between distribution hubs, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy consistent, straightforward work with minimal manual handling.

Duties

• Trunking between distribution hubs
• Safe and timely deliveries
• Vehicle checks and defect reporting
• Compliance with Driver Hours and Working Time Regulations
• Completing all relevant paperwork accurately

Class 1 Linehaul Driver

This is a varied role involving multiple collections and deliveries throughout your shift.

Duties

• Multiple collections from customer sites
• Deliveries to customer locations
• Linehaul and trunking work
• Completing delivery paperwork accurately
• Ensuring all deliveries and collections are completed safely and on time
• Adhering to UK driving regulations and company procedures

Requirements

To be considered, you'll need:

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or Class 2 (Category C) Licence
• Minimum 6 months' HGV driving experience
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card
• No more than 6 penalty points
• No major endorsements (DD, DR, IN, CD or TT codes)
• Good knowledge of UK driving regulations and compliance requirements
• Reliable, flexible and professional approach to work
