Job summary

Jack Richards & Son Ltd, Northwich Depot, is seeking experienced Day Drivers with a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence to join their expanding haulage team. You will operate day shifts across UK routes from the Northwich depot, ensuring on-time deliveries and adherence to safety standards.

Role requires Curtainside experience, ratchet strapping, and a current tachograph and CPC card. Competitive earnings and a company benefits package accompany a structured driver role within a supportive planning

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence.
• UK digital tachograph card is required.
• Full DQC (CPC) card required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicles comply with legal requirements, reporting issues to the DC team.
• Ensure the security and accuracy of load delivery under your charge.
• Follow delivery instructions accurately and effectively.
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner.
• Comply with health and safety standards and The Highway Code.

Role Involves

• Ensuring vehicles comply with legal requirements, reporting issues to your DC team
• Ensure the security and accuracy of delivery of the loads in your charge
• Following delivery instructions accurately and effectively
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

Estimated Annual Gross Earnings (Example Shifts)

• 5/6 Days (Mon Start Day) : c. £49,100 + Bonus (see below)
• Mon to Fri Days (1 in 3 Sat): c. £48,000 + Bonus (see below)

Bonus

• SAFED Fuel Bonus (max c. £1000)
