Job summary

Jack Richards and Son is hiring Class 1 (C+E) Nights drivers to support UK road haulage and palletised load distribution. The role requires a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, UK digital tachograph card and CPC, with at least 6 months of experience. Night shifts with opportunities for enhanced rates and a SAFED Fuel Bonus are available.

You will drive safely, follow delivery instructions, and ensure loads are delivered securely while complying with safety regulations and the Highway Code.

We Are Currently Looking To Hire

Class 1 (C+E) Nights (options below)

• We will consider applications from Drivers with at least 6 months’ Commercial Class 1 (C+E) Driving experience **

• You must hold a valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence, hold a UK digital tachograph card and a full DQC (CPC card) **

Role

• Ensuring vehicles comply with legal requirements, reporting issues to your DC team
• Ensure the security and accuracy of delivery of the loads in your charge
• Following delivery instructions accurately and effectively
• Drive in a safe and efficient manner
• Comply with our health and safety standards at all times, ensuring adherence to The Highway Code, road safety rules and vehicle regulations

Estimated Gross Annual Earnings

• 5/6 Nights (Mon Start Day): c. £49,300 + Bonus
• Mon to Fri Nights: c. £45,700 + Bonus

Bonus

• SAFED Fuel Bonus (max c. £1,000 p.a.)

Gross Earnings Figure Includes

• Enhanced Rates after 10 hours
• Trampers: £26.20 per Night Out (Tax Free)
• up to £10 per Day Meal Allowance (Tax Free)
