Job summary

HG Recruitment is seeking drivers for HGV Class 1 ADR tanker work in Liverpool. You will be responsible for collection, transport and delivery of hazardous waste using specialist tanker vehicles.

Typical duties include 2–3 daily deliveries, Monday–Saturday shifts with possible night outs, and strict adherence to ADR rules and safety protocols. Training and PPE are provided, with weekly pay and long-term career prospects.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 1 licence (min 6 months)
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid ADR certificate
• No more than 6 points on licence

Responsibilities

• Collect, transport and deliver hazardous waste materials using tanker vehicles.
• Complete 2–3 deliveries per day.
• Work Mon–Sat with weekend shifts; nights out may be required.
• Ensure ADR compliance and health & safety procedures.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and complete transport documentation.

Pay Rates: (Rolled up)

• Days: Mon- Saturday £18.57 (Rolled up)
• Sunday £37.14 (Rolled up)
• Overtime if applicable (Over 40 hours £27.86)

***Estimated weekly pay Days: £1160.70 per week based on 55 hrs***

The role:

• Collection, transportation and delivery of hazardous waste materials using specialist tanker vehicles.
• Completing approximately 2–3 collections/deliveries per day.
• Monday to Friday shifts, with weekend work included.
• Nights out required depending on operational demands.
• Ensuring full compliance with ADR regulations and health and safety procedures.
• Completing daily vehicle checks and relevant transport documentation.
• Full training and PPE provided.
• Temp-to-perm opportunity with long-term career prospects.
• Previous tanker experience advantageous but not essential.

Requirements

You must have:

• A valid UK HGV Class 1 licence - minimum 6 months experience
• A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Valid ADR certificate
• No more than 6 points on your licence
• Good knowledge of drivers’ hours and Working Time rules
• A reliable and professional approach
• Previous tanker experience is advantageous but not essential
