Job summary

Cleansing Service Group Limited is hiring a HGV Class 1 ADR driver for Middlesbrough, covering the North East. The role involves driving a Class 1 curtain-sided truck to collect hazardous and non-hazardous waste.

40-hour weeks with possible overtime and occasional sleeper Cab nights are expected. We offer an annual bonus scheme, long service awards, share options and a range of health and wellbeing benefits.

Qualifications

• HGV Class 1 Driver with ADR experience preferred.
• ADR licence is required and Digi-card must be held.
• Excellent customer service and organisational skills essential.
• Able to handle paperwork and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Collect hazardous & non-hazardous waste in a Class 1 curtain-sided vehicle.
• Daily duties include heavy lifting (drums up to 25 kg).
• Nights out in a sleeper cab when required.
• Monday–Friday shift pattern.

Hours:

40 hours (with additional non guaranteed overtime (working to the EU driving regulations)

Role Accountabilities:

• Collecting hazardous & non-hazardous waste in a Class 1 curtain-sided vehicle
• Daily duties will involve some heavy lifting, including lifting of drums (up to 25 kg).
• Nights out in a sleeper cab when required
• Monday-Friday

The Candidate:

• HGV Class 1 Driver
• ADR Licence (required)
• Previous relevant driving experience preferred
• Possession of a Digi-card
• Demonstrates good driving skills
• Must be able to provide excellent customer service
• High level of written and mathematical skills, as there will be paperwork involved
• A flexible approach to the role
• Works well in a team or on their own.
• Full clean Driving Licence
