Job summary

Grafters recruit are looking for HGV Class 1 and 2 Drivers for our national client based in Maidstone. You will professionally drive an allocated vehicle, perform daily checks, and ensure loads are secure while following site safety instructions.

Onsite assessment is required and newly qualified drivers with 3 months plus can apply. The role rewards include pay rates: Class 2 Days £16.10, Nights £17.23; Class 1 Days £17.08, Nights £18.96.

Qualifications

• A full UK driving licence with LGV Class 1 or Class 2.
• Newly qualified drivers can apply (3 months plus).
• CPC compliance is required.
• Good time management and organisational skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills and being a team player.
• Resilience and a flexible, can-do attitude.

Responsibilities

• Professionally drive and operate an allocated vehicle assigned by the Transport department daily, ensuring efficient collection, transportation and disposal of customer waste.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report defects which may affect safe/efficient operation.
• Use and maintain your vehicle and equipment in line with training.
• Ensure loads are secure and follow site safety instructions at all sites.
• Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy and company rules, reporting hazards or accidents.

As part of the team you will:

• Professionally driving and operating an allocated vehicle that is assigned by the Transport department daily while ensuring an efficient and effective collection, transportation and disposal of customer waste.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and report all defects which may affect the safe and efficient operation of your vehicle or equipment immediately to the office.
• Use and maintain your vehicle and equipment in accordance with the training given.
• Ensure all loads are secure and safe and follow site safety instructions at all sites.
• Comply with the Company Health & Safety Policy and the Company rules including reporting any unmarked hazards, near misses or accidents and wearing the correct PPE.

Onsite assessment required , so happy for newly qualified drivers with 3 months plus to apply.
