Job summary

CDI - Russell Taylor in Birkenhead is recruiting Class 1 and Class 2 HGV drivers for roles across the UK. The position covers highways and new-build housing projects with about 80% labouring and 20% driving, and weekend shifts may be available.

Shifts run 7:00am–5:00pm on weekdays with 10-hour shifts; travel often required with hotel accommodation when away. Start ASAP; contract temp to perm, initial 8-9 months with potential to become permanent.

Qualifications

• Valid Class 1 or Class 2 driving licence.
• Minimum 3 months of relevant driving experience.
• CSCS card and Highway Passport required.
• Comfortable with manual gearbox vehicles.
• Willing to travel and work away from home.
• Willing to perform labouring duties in addition to driving.

Responsibilities

• Drive on projects across the UK as required.
• Assist with cleaning lines and other site duties.
• 80% labouring and 20% driving on site.
• Travel and stay away from home when required.
