Job summary

Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is seeking agency HGV drivers for regular ad hoc and ongoing shifts in Newton Abbot, Devon. You will drive HGV Class 1 or Class 2 vehicles, complete daily checks, and deliver palletised goods across the South West. Weekly pay and a guaranteed minimum of 8 hours per shift are offered.

Flexibility to cover Class 1 or Class 2 work, with potential for additional hours during busy periods. Must have CPC, Tachograph, and relevant licences.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of HGV driving experience.
• UK HGV Class 1 C+E or Class 2 C licence required.
• Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card are required.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV Class 1 C+E or Class 2 vehicles delivering palletised goods in the South West.
• Carry out pre- and post-trip vehicle checks and report defects.
• Ensure loads are secured and transported safely and legally.
• Complete delivery paperwork and transport documentation.
