Job summary

Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is recruiting for a reliable Class 2 driver to join a well‑established food distribution operation based in Newton Abbot, Devon. Newly qualified drivers are encouraged to apply as full training is provided.

You will deliver chilled and frozen products to hospitality venues across the South West on multi‑drop routes, with up to 30 drops per day. Working patterns include Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat, with weekly pay and a company pension.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Category C) required.
• Driver CPC qualification card required.
• Digital tachograph card required.
• Professional and reliable approach to work.
• Good customer service skills.
• Comfortable with multi-drop deliveries.
• Able to work safely and independently once trained.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chilled and frozen products across the South West.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries on planned routes.
• Carry out up to 30 deliveries per day.
• Deliver to restaurants, cafes, pubs, hotels and takeaways.
• Provide professional customer service at each delivery point.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks.
• Complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, correctly and on time.
• Follow Driver CPC, tachograph and road transport regulations.
