Job summary

Driver Hire/dh Recruitment (Torbay & Barnstaple) is hiring a Class 2 HGV driver for a full-time, permanent position in Newton Abbot, Devon. You will deliver chilled and frozen products across the South West with up to 30 drops daily, on either a Monday–Friday or Tuesday–Saturday pattern.

Full training is provided; benefits include weekly pay and a company pension. The role requires a valid HGV Class 2 licence (Cat C), Driver CPC card, and a tachograph card, plus a professional, customer-focused

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 licence (Category C).
• Valid Driver CPC qualification card.
• Valid digital tachograph card.
• Professional and reliable approach to work.
• Good customer service skills.
• Comfortable with multi-drop delivery work.
• Able to work safely and independently once trained.

Responsibilities

• Deliver chilled and frozen food products across the South West.
• Complete multi-drop deliveries on planned routes (up to 30 drops per day).
• Deliver to restaurants, cafes, pubs, hotels and takeaways.
• Provide professional customer service at each delivery point.
• Carry out daily vehicle checks and complete delivery paperwork accurately.
• Ensure deliveries are completed safely, correctly and on time.
• Follow Driver CPC, tachograph and road transport regulations.
