Job summary

Westwood Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV drivers for Class 1 (C+E) and Class 2 (C) roles. The job involves operating modern trucks for general haulage or multi-drop deliveries with a strong emphasis on safety and punctuality.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid license, have clean driving records, and demonstrate good communication, reliability and organisational skills. Roles require adherence to hours regulations and a professional approach to on-site operations.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) or HGV Class 2 (C) driving license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with team members.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently, demonstrating organisational skills and reliability.
• No more than 6 points on license.
• No DD, DR & IN10 Endorsements showing.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 (C+E) or HGV Class 2 (C) truck in line with regulations and policies.
• Carry out general haulage or multi-drop deliveries to customers.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Adhere to driving hours regulations and health & safety protocols.
