Job summary

Westwood Recruitment is seeking reliable HGV Class 1 drivers for day and night shifts, with occasional weekend work. You will operate C+E vehicles, manage container work from docks, and perform safety checks.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 1 license with a clean driving record.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with team members.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and be reliable.
• No more than 6 points; no DD/DR/IN10 endorsements.
• Mon to Fri day/night starts; some weekend work possible.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate an HGV Class 1 (C+E) truck following safety regulations and company policies.
• Trailer swaps and container work from the port with timely drop-offs.
• Conduct routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks.
• Follow all health and safety protocols including driving hours regulations.
