Solvit Recruitment is seeking an HGV Class 1 Driver based in Loughborough for a leading importer and distributor of food and ingredients. Role involves Class 1 driving with some Class 2 work when required, drops, and occasional handballing into premises.

25+ due to insurance, 6+ months experience, and good customer service are expected. Typical start times range 07:00–10:00 with finish 16:00–18:00, Monday to Friday, average 42 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience.
• No more than 6 points on licence and no ban in last 5 years.
• Must be 25+ due to insurance.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Drive Class 1 (and occasional Class 2) with drops and collections.
• Load handling is mostly FLT-loaded; may require occasional pump truck loading.
• Carry out pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and diaries.

Solvit Recruitment are looking for an HGV Class 1 Driver.

This is not a Christmas role.

After a successful 13 weeks temp to perm, you will be offered a full time position.

Location: Loughborough.

Solvit recruitment is currently recruiting for an HGV Class 1 Driver to work with a leading Specialist Importer and Distributor of food and ingredients, who are currently looking for a HGV Class 1 Driver.

We are looking for a HGV driver who will be flexible driving HGV Class 1 and Class 2(when required).

Class 1 work you will have a couple of drops and a collection, the load will be FLT loaded for you, however on occasion you may need to load via pump truck.

When covering the Class 2 work you will average 10 - 14 deliveries on your route, majority of the routes you will have a drivers mate, you will be delivering to restaurants in UK, this is a physical and manual role where you will be handballing into premises.

Start times between 07:00 – 10:00 with finish times between 16:00 – 18:00.

All depending on the run.

You will have minimum 6 Months HGV Class 1 Driving experience; you will have no more than 6 points and not served a ban in the last 5 years.

You will have excellent customer service skills, as you will build relationships with your customers.

This role is Monday to Friday.

Average hours 42 per week this may go up or down.

Rate of Pay

Monday to Friday £700.00 per week

Requirements

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
• Previous multi-driving experience.
• Due to Insurance, you will be 25+.
• Follow all traffic laws and regulations.
• Excellent communication oral and written.
• Complete necessary paperwork and maintain accurate records of deliveries.
• 6 Months HGV Class 1 experience.
• No DR, DD, TT, IN and not served any bans in the last 5 years.
