Job summary

GXO is recruiting for an HGV C+E (Class 1) Curtainsider Driver at our Dagenham depot to support Breedon Cement RM9 6PR. You will handle single drop pallet deliveries typically 2–3 per shift, strap down pallets and secure curtains, while maintaining excellent service to our customers.

You will work full-time, Monday to Friday, with guaranteed 48 hours per week; start times usually between 04:00 and 06:00 and paid breaks.

Qualifications

• Valid UK driving licence with category C+E entitlement.
• No more than 6 current penalty points.
• Previous experience driving Class 1 vehicles is essential.
• Driver Qualification and Digital Tachograph Cards.

Responsibilities

• Strap down pallets of cement and secure the curtains before heading out on the road.
• Maintain clear communication with the transport office regarding any issues and provide exceptional service to customers.
• Operate company vehicles in a safe, legal and efficient manner while ensuring required documents are completed accurately and on time.

Job Details

You will be working on a full‑time, permanent basis, Monday to Friday, minimum of 48 hours per week guaranteed pay, with start times generally between 04:00 to 06:00 and paid breaks!

Compensation and Benefits

• £49,192 per annum (based on 50 hours per week)
• £18.92 per hour
• Paid every four weeks - lunar pay
• Paid holiday entitlement - 25 days plus 8 bank holidays
