Job summary

QS Recruitment is seeking an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver for an established waste and recycling operation in Alfreton. You’ll join a refuse collection team, driving scheduled routes around Derbyshire to collect household and commercial waste.

Shifts are Monday to Friday with early starts around 5:45am and typically finish around 2:00pm. Overtime on Saturdays may be available. This is an ongoing temporary role with a genuine path to permanent employment.

Qualifications

• Valid UK Category C1 (7.5 Tonne) licence.
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Previous 7.5 Tonne driving experience preferred.
• Good understanding of Drivers’ Hours regulations and road transport legislation.
• Able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual and safety-conscious.
• Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drive scheduled routes for household and commercial waste collections.
• Work with loaders to complete daily routes safely and efficiently.
• Follow all company procedures and health & safety standards.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report issues promptly.

Job Description

Are you an experienced 7.5 Tonne Driver looking for regular weekday work, early finishes and the chance to secure a permanent position? We are currently recruiting HGV 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join an established waste and recycling operation in Alfreton.

You’ll be part of a refuse collection team, driving scheduled routes throughout Derbyshire and carrying out household and commercial waste collections.

Working alongside a team of loaders, you’ll help ensure daily routes are completed safely and efficiently while following all relevant company procedures and maintaining high standards of Health & Safety.

Duration: Ongoing temp work is available
