Job summary

The Best Connection Reading is actively recruiting HGV Class 2 drivers for a temporary to permanent role based in Reading. You will join one of the UK's largest distribution operations, with a Monday to Friday pattern and no mandatory weekends.

Early starts between 4.30am and 5.30am, multi-drop deliveries of beer kegs, and teamwork with a driver’s mate. A quarterly bonus is paid on targets, with overtime on weekends if you choose to work. Manual handling of beer kegs is required.

Qualifications

• Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) Licence.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
• Ability to work within a team.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Multi-drop deliveries of beer kegs to the hospitality sector.
• Work with a drivers mate to assist with handball.
• Safely secure goods for transport.
• Manoeuvre goods using tail lifts and pump trucks.
• Follow manual handling best practice.
• Meet scheduled delivery times and route plans.
• Follow all site, depot and customer H&S procedures.

The Best Connection Reading are currently recruiting

HGV Class 2 drivers for a temporary to permanent role with one of the

UK's largest and most well-established distribution operations, based in Reading.

Key information:

• Monday to Friday (NO WEEKENDS).
• Weekend shifts available if you wish to work (OT Paid)
• Early starts between 4.30am and 5.30am.
• Pay rate - £16.16 per hour. OT rate - £24.24 per hour.

A quarterly bonus of £500 for achievement of targets!

*Please note this role does involve manual handling of kegs of alcohol.

• Working alongside an experienced drivers mate who is there to assist with the handball.
• Safely secure goods for transport.
• Manoeuvre goods using tail lifts and pump trucks.
