Job summary

The Best Connection Slough is recruiting HGV 2 Drivers to deliver and collect plant and tool machinery across the UK for a leading waste management company. Salary is £17.00 per hour on a 45 hour week (700–1700 with 1 hour unpaid). Overtime paid at time and a half after 9 hours (£25.50).

Duties include paperwork, health and safety compliance, and depot support as required. Candidates must have CPC and full driving licence, Tacho card, and be a strong team player with good communication skills

Qualifications

• CPC & full driving licence is required.

• Mechanical aptitude essential.
• Good literacy levels are required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Delivering and collecting plant and tools.
• Complete necessary paperwork.

• Report vehicle defects.
• Liaise with staff and customers; assist at other depots as required.
• Assist with non-driving tasks and yard work as needed.

The Best Connection Slough is currently recruiting for a number of HGV 2 Drivers to work for our client in the Berkshire area.

They are a leading waste management company looking for reliable, committed drivers to join their busy and expanding team.

This particular role is delivery of plant and tool machinery across the UK.

Salary for this Role - £17.00 per hour on a 45 hour working week.

0700 - 1700 - with 1 hour unpaid break.

Overtime available paid at time and a half after 9 hours per day- £25.50

The job Role

• Delivering /collecting plant and tools
• Completing necessary paperwork
• Keep up to date with and follow health and safety and other procedures.
• Report any vehicle defaults.
• Assisting at other depots if required
• Assisting with non-driving jobs at depot if required including yard areas
• Partaking in training courses as necessary, possibly in own time
• Keeping necessary qualifications up to date
• Liaising with staff members and customers

What is required.
