Job summary

The Best Connection are currently seeking HGV Class 2 (LGV C) drivers to work with our client based in Gateshead. Our client specialises in the distribution and delivery of drinks and beverages to pubs and hospitality venues across the North East.

You will perform Class 2 driving on delivery routes, yard shunting on-site, multi-drop deliveries of heavy drinks stock, and manual handling. Excellent customer-facing interaction and representing both the client and The Best Connection.

Qualifications

• Valid Cat C licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.
• New pass drivers welcome – full training and support will be provided.
• Good physical fitness required due to heavy dray delivery work.
• Smart appearance suitable for client interactions.
• Positive attitude towards professional driving standards and customer service.

Class 2 driving on designated delivery routes.

Yard shunting duties moving and positioning rigid vehicles safely on-site when required.

Multi-drop delivery of heavy drinks stock, including beer kegs and barrels.

Manual handling of heavy items using specialized delivery equipment.

Customer-facing interaction at busy pub and hospitality locations.

Representing both our client and The Best Connection.

Experience / Education Requirements

Valid Cat C licence along with up-to-date CPC and Digital Tachograph cards.

New pass drivers welcome as full training and support will be provided.

Good physical fitness due to the heavy nature of dray delivery work.

Smart appearance suitable for client interactions.

Positive attitude towards professional driving standards and customer service.

Hours of Work

Monday to Friday schedule.

06:00am start time each day.

Pay Rates (PAYE)

£16.34 per hour basic rate.

£24.51 per hour overtime rate 1 (x1.5).

£32.68 per hour overtime rate 2 (x2).
