Job summary

Jobandtalent in London is recruiting for an HGV 2 Driver to join a leading company in logistics and catering. You will deliver goods safely to key clients, maintain professional standards, and provide excellent customer service.

The role offers rotating AM/PM/night shifts, five days out of seven, weekly pay, and benefits including pension and holiday entitlement.

Qualifications

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
• Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 2 driving experience
• No more than 3 penalty points on your driving licence
• Able to provide a 5-year employment history
• Eligible to pass a DBS check
• Willing to complete the CO (Cargo Operative) Course
• Must have the right to work in the UK (not on Student Visa)

Responsibilities

• Safely transport goods to a range of locations including major hubs and client sites
• Ensure all deliveries are completed on time and with high customer service standards
• Carry out routine vehicle checks and maintain safety compliance
• Provide excellent customer service during delivery interactions and document any issues

HGV 2 DRIVER - London

At Job&Talent, we are recruiting for an HGV 2 Driver to work with a leading company in the logistics and catering sector in London. This role involves delivering goods safely and efficiently to key clients, including LNER at King's Cross, Heathrow, and Gatwick, while maintaining high standards of professionalism and customer service.

Shift patterns

• This role requires flexibility to work rotational shifts, including AM, PM, and night shifts.
• You will be expected to work any 5 days out of 7, as scheduled on the rota.

Pay rates

• 22.48 GBP hourly

Essential requirements for HGV 2 DRIVER

• Valid UK HGV Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence
• Valid Driver CPC Qualification and Digital Tachograph Driver Card
• Minimum 1 year of HGV Class 2 driving experience
• No more than 3 penalty points on your driving licence
• Able to provide a 5-year employment history
• Eligible to pass a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) check
• Willing to complete the CO (Cargo Operative) Course
• Must have the right to work in the UK (applicants on a Student Visa are not eligible)

Desirable requirements for HGV 2 DRIVER

• Previous experience working in an airport, transport, or logistics environment
• Experience with heavy manual handling and physically demanding tasks
• Good knowledge of Gatwick Airport and the surrounding road network
• Strong time management skills with the ability to meet delivery schedules
• A proactive and reliable approach, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service
