Job summary

Staff Solutions UK Ltd is recruiting for professional Class 2 Drivers for our client in Hoddesdon, Herts. You will deliver to well-known restaurant chains, with approximately 4–8 drops per shift and 10-hour days, four days out of seven.

The role starts with a telephone interview, a driving assessment, and an induction if successful. Start times range 02:00–06:00, with weekly pay and a permanent salary of £49,200 after conversion.

Qualifications

• Valid licence with no more than 6 points.
• Digital Tachograph knowledge.
• CPC/Driver Qualification Card.
• Recent UK Class 2 driving experience.
• Available to start at required start times.
• Good knowledge of London and Home Counties.
• 2 checkable references.
• Honest and reliable.
• Physically fit; loading/unloading required.
• Safety boots worn.

Responsibilities

• Deliver food to restaurant chains.
• Loading/unloading is required; manual handling.
• Shift start times around 02:00–06:00; about 10 hours per shift.
• Work 4 days out of 7 on either two shift patterns.
• Be the face of the organisation as an HGV driver.

Job description

Staff Solutions UK Ltd is recruiting for professional Class 2 Drivers on behalf of our client based in Hoddesdon, Herts.

This work is offered on a temp - perm basis, meaning that you will work through us for the first 12 weeks and then become permanent.

Please note that manual handling is required for this work so you will need to be physically fit.

You will be delivering food to well-known restaurant chains; you can expect approximately 4 8 drops per shift.

Before starting this work, you will be required to complete a telephone interview, followed by a driving assessment, and then an induction if you successfully pass the assessment.

Start times will be between 02.00 06.00 and shifts will be approximately 10 hours. You will work 4 days out of 7, this will be on one of two shifts as follows:

Monday, Thursday, Friday & Saturday OR Monday, Tuesday, Friday & Saturday. You will always be off on a Sunday.

To be considered for the above you will need the following:

• A valid licence with no more than 6 points
• A digital Tacho.
• CPC/Driver Qualification Card
• Recent UK Class 2 driving experience
• Be available to start at the required start times
• Good knowledge of London and the Home Counties.
• 2 Checkable references.
• Be honest & 100% Reliable.
• Be physically fit as loading & unloading is required.
• Safety Boots.
• A can do

We are very happy to consider newly qualified drivers.

The rate of pay is £20.50 per hour, paid weekly.

Once you become permanent you can expect an annual salary of £49,200.
