Job summary

Pertemps Crewe is seeking an experienced HGV 1 Driver for ongoing shifts at the Stoke depot. You will load and unload cages of letters and parcels, operate single and double-deck trailers, and handle pushing and pulling duties in a 24-hour operation.

Pay rates are PAYE from £21.44 to £24.57 per hour. Shifts are typically 10–12 hours with weekend work and regular ongoing bookings starting 1st November.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 years’ HGV Class 1 driving experience, with recent work in the last 6 months.
• A valid C+E licence, CPC card, and digital tachograph card.
• A maximum of 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).

Responsibilities

• Safely loading and unloading cages of letters and parcels.
• Working with single and double-deck trailers, with some pushing and pulling involved.
• Average 10 - 12 hour shifts.
• Various start times in a 24-hour operation.
• Weekend work is required.

Based in Stoke-on-Trent, the successful candidate will safely load and unload cages containing letters and parcels, operate single and double-deck trailers, and manage pushing and pulling duties.

Competitive PAYE pay ranges from £21.44 to £24.57 hourly.

Regular block bookings begin 1st November.
