Job summary

Magnus Search Ltd. is seeking motivated HGV 1 drivers for its Peterborough-based operation, offering day and night shifts to suit availability. You will operate HGV 1 vehicles, conduct safety inspections, plan efficient routes, and maintain logs and delivery records.

The role requires a valid UK HGV 1 license and Driver CPC, with preference for experience on curtainside and fridge units. Weekend and weekday shifts may apply, with pay stated at £20.00 per hour and hours paid weekly.

Qualifications

• Current UK HGV1 (Class 1) license required.
• Driver CPC card required.
• No more than 6 endorsement points (no DR/DD/CD).
• Experience with curtainside and fridge units preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate HGV 1 vehicles with precision, adhering to all road safety laws and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
• Plan routes efficiently to meet delivery schedules while optimizing fuel consumption.
• Maintain accurate delivery documentation, logs, and records of driving hours in compliance with regulation

Requirements

• Current valid UK HGV 1 (Class 1) license.
• Current valid Driver and CPC card
• No more than 6 endorsement points - No DR, DD or CD endorsments.
• Previous experience in operating both curtainside and fridge units (preferred)

Shift/Hours

There is both day and night work available.

Shifts lengths are typically 10-12 hours per day

Pay

• Weekends - £20.00 per hour

All hours minus breaks are paid weekly
