Job summary

Premier Placement Services are recruiting an experienced HGV Driver for a 6-week fixed-term contract in Rochdale. You will work day shifts with start times around 4am–7am and 12-hour days, delivering and unloading goods while maintaining safety standards.

Applicants must hold a valid HGV Class 1 licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph card and have at least two years of driving experience with no disqualifying endorsements.

Qualifications

• Current HGV class 1 licence with CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• At least 2 years driving experience.
• No IN, DD, DR endorsements on licence.

Responsibilities

• Drive HGV safely and responsibly.
• Complete vehicle safety checks before and after journeys.
• Ensure compliance with tachograph regulations and road traffic legislation.
• Complete all required paperwork and report any vehicle defects.
• Maintain a professional and reliable approach at all times.
• Deliver and unload goods with some handball at all times.

Premier Placement Services are currently recruiting experienced and reliable HGV Drivers for a 6 - week fixed term contract working on behalf of our client in Rochdale.

Pay & Working Hours

• Pay Rate: £210 per shift plus holiday pay (Equivalent to £236 per shift)
• Shift Pattern: Day Shifts
• Start times: 4am - 7 am
• Guaranteed Hours: 12 Hours per day.
• Contract Length: 6 weeks

Your duties will include:

• Driving an HGV safely and responsibly.
• Completing vehicle safety checks before and after journeys.
• Ensuring compliance with drivers',tachograph regulations and road traffic legislation
• Completing all required paperwork and reporting any vehicle defects
• Maintaining a professional and reliable approach at all times
• Deliver and unload goods with some handball at all times

You will require

• A current HGV class 1 Licence along with a valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card.
• At least 2 years driving experience.
• A strong commitment to safety , reliability and professionalism.
• No IN, DD, DR endorsements on licence
