Job summary

The Gateway Learning Community in Thurrock is seeking a dedicated Child and Family Support Assistant to work with pupils under the guidance of the Inclusion Manager and Deputy Headteacher.

You will collaborate with teaching staff, parents and external practitioners to identify and address students' academic, emotional and behavioural needs, providing targeted support to help them achieve learning objectives.

Salary: GLC P12 - P16 £24,947 - £27,419 FTE [Actual Pro Rata Salary £19,669 - £21,618]

Contract; Permanent

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, Term Time only plus 2 weeks Holiday Working

We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Child and Family Support Assistant to join our team. In this vital role, you will work in close partnership with teaching staff, parents, and external practitioners to identify and address the individual academic, emotional, and behavioural needs of our students. Under the guidance of the Inclusion Manager and Deputy Headteacher, you will provide targeted, practical, and emotional support to ensure pupils can confidently meet their learning objectives.
