Job summary

Historic Environment Scotland is seeking a trainer to deliver Scottish Qualification framework for stonemasonry to apprentices and external contractors at the Stirling Skills Training Centre. You will manage on-site assessments, maintain portfolios, ensure safeguarding, and enforce health and safety and QA standards.

The role involves liaising with Qualifications Scotland, CTB, and external partners while supporting CPD and outreach.

Qualifications

SCQF level 6 Stonemasonry or equivalent is essential.
Advanced Craft Stonemasonry in Stonemasonry is required.
Full UK driving licence with willingness to convert to UK licence within 12 months.

Responsibilities

Deliver and assess stonemasonry training for apprentices and contractors.
Carry out on-site assessments and maintain work-based portfolios.
Ensure safeguarding, health and safety, and quality assurance procedures.
Liaise with Qualifications Scotland and industry partners, representing HES.
Monitor apprentices in workplace placements and participate in outreach and CPD.
