Job summary

Newark and Sherwood District Council is seeking a Project Delivery Manager to lead the Newark Castle Gatehouse Project, a complex heritage regeneration programme transforming Newark Castle and Gardens into a distinctive visitor destination.

You will coordinate interpretation, exhibition fit-out and visitor engagement, and manage budgets, risks and reporting to meet quality, timescale and funding conditions.

Qualifications

• Lead the next stage of the Newark Castle Gatehouse Project, coordinating interpretation, exhibition fit-out and visitor engagement.
• Oversee project programmes, budgets, risks, procurement and reporting to ensure quality, timescale and funding conditions.
• Engage with funders, consultants, contractors, elected members, community groups and heritage partners.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and integration of project phases, including access improvements and site infrastructure.
• Prepare reports, grant claims and supporting evidence for funders and project governance boards.
• Ensure inclusive engagement, evaluation and audience development to create a welcoming heritage attraction.
