Job summary

Trafford Council is seeking an Archive Engagement Officer to join the Local Studies & Archives team. The role blends archives, learning, outreach and community engagement, delivering workshops, events and digital content for diverse audiences.

You will collaborate with community groups and volunteers to create meaningful learning and storytelling opportunities, with a focus on accessibility and inclusion of Trafford's heritage.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience working with the public and community groups.
• Interest in archives, learning, outreach and storytelling.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver workshops, events and digital content.
• Engage with community groups, cultural organisations and volunteers.
• Promote Trafford's archives and heritage collections; support interpretation and access.
• Support service development and evaluation.
