Gateshead Council's Libraries and Heritage Service is seeking a part-time Libraries and Heritage Development Officer for Gateshead Archive, based at Gateshead Central Library. The role will supervise the Archive visitor space and the main public computer service, and join a rota of duty managers supervising the wider Central Library.

• Degree in Library and Information Management or equivalent.
• Experience in public library, archive or heritage environments.
• Experience supervising staff and delivering training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver library and heritage services for target user groups.
• Develop partnerships to promote activities and wellbeing.
• Supervise staff and deliver training; maintain safe facilities.
• Act as Senior on Duty and ensure high-quality customer experience.
• Collate information and evaluate activity outcomes.
