Job summary

Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks a Consultant in Gastroenterology and Hepatology based at Luton & Dunstable University Hospital. The post involves leading clinics, endoscopy sessions, and contributing to a broad range of inpatient and outpatient care.

You will work within a team of 10 Gastroenterology Consultants, participate in the GI bleed rota, maintain high clinical standards, and engage in education, research, and governance activities in a dynamic Trust environment.

Qualifications

• Medical degree and full GMC registration.
• MRCP or equivalent required; higher degrees desirable.
• Experience in General Medicine and Gastroenterology.
• Evidence of CPD and involvement in audits.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current knowledge in Hepatology/Gastroenterology.
• Lead audits and participate in clinical governance.
• Support junior medical staff and other clinical staff.
• Participate in on-call rotas and endoscopy duties.
