Job description

We are currently seeking an energetic individual to work full-time in our London office as a Junior Helpdesk/IT Support Desktop Specialist. This entry-level position is suitable for someone with 2 to 4 years of experience and offers exposure to an enterprise computing environment. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical troubleshooting skills and excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

Responsibilities include:

  1. Provide installation and support for PC and some Apple hardware and software, including peripheral devices such as printers and USB devices.
  2. Respond to incoming calls and emails regarding workstation and peripheral issues.
  3. Perform on-site analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of workstation and peripheral problems, and implement corrective hardware and software solutions, including remote repairs.
  4. Follow procedures for logging, reporting, and monitoring helpdesk requests.
  5. Ensure high user satisfaction through accurate, timely follow-up, strong technical skills, and effective communication and relationship-building.

Required Skills:

  1. Fluency in English.
  2. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with a diverse range of people.
  3. Self-motivated with good reasoning skills.
  4. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows Desktop Operating Systems (Windows 10 and Windows XP).
  5. Desirable: Knowledge of Mac OS X.
  6. Proficiency with office productivity software such as Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.
  7. Basic networking knowledge, including DHCP, DNS, and cabling.
  8. Knowledge of antivirus and spyware removal techniques.
  9. Ability to diagnose and resolve problems quickly.
  10. Attention to technical details and ability to articulate issues clearly.
  11. Ability to open and replace defective computer components.
  12. Willingness to learn new skills.
  13. Ability to document issues and resolutions thoroughly.
  14. Team-oriented and collaborative attitude.
  15. Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory is a plus.
