Marlborough College seeks a skilled Helpdesk and Systems Engineer to join its IT team. This role involves delivering technical support, managing helpdesk operations, and contributing to strategic infrastructure improvements. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, relevant certifications, and experience with enterprise platforms like Microsoft 365 and Azure.
Hours of Work: 37.5 hours per week, full year, on-site. Core hours are 8.00am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Weekends and evenings are required on standby and call-out rota.
Salary: Competitive, based on experience, with benefits including 25 days holiday, pension (defined contribution scheme), and staff discounts.
Marlborough College has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and motivated Helpdesk and Systems Engineer to join our IT team. Reporting to the Director of IT, this hands-on role involves delivering high-quality technical support across the College and contributing to strategic infrastructure improvement projects.
The successful candidate will be a confident problem-solver with strong communication skills, capable of managing day-to-day helpdesk operations and leading system improvements across cloud, network, and security platforms. Key areas include modernising infrastructure, enhancing cybersecurity, and supporting projects involving Microsoft 365, Azure, Intune, CCTV, and mobile device management (MDM).
This role also involves mentoring and providing technical leadership to the IT Support Specialist and supporting end-users through training and documentation.
