Rogers McHugh Recruitment is supporting a building engineering and facilities management business seeking a Helpdesk/Service Coordinator. You will be the first point of contact for refrigeration maintenance calls, triaging issues and coordinating engineer attendance across the UK.
The role operates on a six-week rota, with five days out of seven and alternating early and late shifts. Late shifts and weekends are available from home, offering flexible working arrangements.
You are someone who enjoys solving problems and keeping things moving. You stay calm when people need your help and you are happy juggling different tasks throughout the day. You are organised, proactive and confident making decisions.
You do not need refrigeration experience because full training will be provided. What matters is your attitude. If you enjoy finding solutions, can communicate clearly and have worked in an office environment before, this could be a great fit.
If you have worked within construction, facilities management or an engineering business, that would be an advantage, although it is certainly not essential.
You will already have experience working in an office based role where you have dealt with customers, clients or engineers.
You might have worked as a Helpdesk Coordinator, Service Coordinator, Administrator, Scheduler, Customer Service Advisor, Service Desk Advisor or in another busy office environment where prioritising work and communicating with different people has been part of your day.
You are comfortable using computer systems, managing multiple tasks at once and making sensible decisions when priorities change.
You will be the first point of contact for maintenance calls relating to refrigeration issues across a nationwide retail estate.
Your job is to understand the problem, ask the right questions and decide whether the issue can be resolved remotely before arranging for an engineer to attend. Your ability to think logically and communicate clearly will help reduce unnecessary call outs while making sure genuine faults are dealt with quickly.
You will work on a six week rota covering five days out of seven. Three weeks are Monday to Friday. The remaining three weeks include one weekend working week, one Saturday and one Sunday. Shifts fall between 7am and 8pm, with an early shift of 7am until 3.30pm and a late shift of 11.30am until 8pm. Late shifts and weekend shifts are worked from home, giving you a good level of flexibility.
The salary is GBP29,359, with an annual salary review every January where increases typically range between 2% and 5%. During the busy summer period there is also regular overtime available, paid at time and a half.
The interview process is just one stage and the role is available for an immediate start.
This is an established building engineering and facilities management business that delivers maintenance services across the UK for major national retailers.
You will join a supportive team where personality and attitude are valued just as highly as experience. Full training is provided, so you will be given the knowledge and support needed to succeed. The business has built a strong reputation for developing people internally and providing long term career opportunities within a stable and growing environment.
