Job summary

GTG Training Limited in Wolverhampton is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to become a Technical Trainer. Move from the workshop into a rewarding training role, helping develop the next generation of technicians at GTG’s training centre.

• Assess learner progress and provide constructive feedback.
• Maintain training records and documentation.
• Support apprentices throughout their development.

What you’ll be doing

• Training apprentices and commercial delegates towards industry-recognised qualifications at GTG’s training centre.
• Delivering practical and classroom-based training.
• Assessing learner progress.
• Maintaining training records.
• Supporting apprentices throughout their development.

What we’re looking for from you

• No teaching experience is required – we’ll provide full training and support to gain a teaching qualification
• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent)
• Strong heavy vehicle maintenance experience
• Electrical diagnostics and modern vehicle technology knowledge
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm
• Full UK driving licence
