Job summary

GTG Training – Renault Trucks is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to transition into a Technical Trainer role in the UK. You will deliver practical and classroom training, assess learner progress and maintain records at GTG’s training centre while supporting apprentices through their development.

No teaching experience is required; full training and support are provided to gain a teaching qualification.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification (or equivalent).
• Strong heavy vehicle maintenance experience.
• Electrical diagnostics and modern vehicle technology knowledge.
• Strong communication skills and enthusiasm.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Training apprentices and commercial delegates towards industry-recognised qualifications at GTG’s training centre.
• Delivering practical and classroom-based training.
• Assessing learner progress.
• Maintaining training records.
• Supporting apprentices throughout their development.

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 and bonus opportunities
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8am – 4.30pm, no weekend work required
GTG Training is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to become a Technical Trainer. This is an excellent opportunity to move from the workshop into a rewarding training role, helping develop the next generation of technicians.
