Job summary

Kautec Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Service Advisor for our busy workshop. You will act as the link between customers, technicians and the workshop team, managing bookings from intake through to completion and invoicing.

The role requires excellent organisation, strong customer service and the ability to manage multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment. Experience in HGV or commercial vehicle workshop is preferred, with IT literacy and basic invoicing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Experience in a HGV or commercial vehicle workshop.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple jobs.
• IT literate; DMS experience would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Book in HGVs for servicing, repairs, inspections and MOT preparation.
• Raise and manage accurate job cards.
• Liaise with technicians to monitor job progress and identify additional work.
• Keep customers updated on repairs, costs and timescales.
• Obtain customer approval for additional work.
• Order parts and liaise with suppliers when required.
• Prepare accurate invoices for completed work.
• Support the Workshop Manager with daily planning and workflow.
• Maintain accurate workshop records and administration.

What We're Looking For

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organisation and ability to manage multiple jobs
• Good understanding of workshop processes, job cards and invoicing
• IT literate; DMS experience would be an advantage
• A confident, practical approach and the ability to work under pressure
