Job summary

Henry Blue in Wolverhampton is seeking a Heavy Vehicle Technical Trainer to train apprentices and commercial delegates in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair. No teaching experience required; full training and support provided, including potential to gain teaching qualification.

Role involves practical workshop and classroom sessions, plus assessing progress. You must have Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent, strong hands-on experience, electrical diagnostics

Heavy Vehicle Technical Trainer - Wolverhampton

Salary: £35,000 – £40,000 + bonus opportunities

Hours: Monday–Friday, 8:00am–4:30pm

The Opportunity

Are you an experienced HGV / Heavy Vehicle Mechanic looking to move away from the workshop?

We are looking for a Heavy Vehicle professional to become a Technical Trainer, helping train and develop the next generation of technicians.

No teaching or training experience is required. Full training and support will be provided, including the opportunity to gain a teaching qualification.

What You'll Be Doing

You’ll use your industry experience to train apprentices and commercial delegates in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair.

Your role will include:

• Delivering practical workshop training
• Delivering classroom-based technical sessions
• Supporting Heavy Vehicle apprentices
• Assessing learner progress
• Maintaining learner and training records
• Helping apprentices develop their practical and technical skills

What You Need

We’re looking for someone with:

• Level 3 Heavy Vehicle Maintenance & Repair qualification or equivalent
• Strong hands-on HGV / Heavy Vehicle maintenance experience
• Electrical diagnostics experience
• Knowledge of modern vehicle technology
• Good communication skills
• Enthusiasm for passing your knowledge on to others

You do not need a teaching qualification or previous teaching experience.
