Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Limited is seeking an experienced HGV Technician to transition into an HGV Trainer role, delivering hands-on and theory-based training to apprentices.

The role offers full teacher training, accommodation during a 6-week induction in Wolverhampton, and travel between Leicester and Wolverhampton sites, with a Monday–Friday schedule and excellent pension/healthcare benefits.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification in Heavy Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
• Experience as an HGV Technician, Heavy Vehicle Mechanic, PSV Technician, or Bus and Coach Technician.
• Strong hands-on industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and theory-based training to HGV apprentices.
• Support learners through their qualifications and development.
• Full teacher training and ongoing professional development provided.
• Initial 6-week training period in Wolverhampton with accommodation provided.
• Travel between Leicester and Wolverhampton sites as required.

Due to continued growth, they are expanding their HGV training team and are looking for experienced Heavy Vehicle Technicians to join them. In this role, you will train and mentor HGV apprentices, supporting them through both the practical and theoretical aspects of their qualifications. Working in modern training facilities, you will help learners develop the technical skills, knowledge, and confidence required to become successful Heavy Vehicle Technicians.

The ideal candidate will be a Level 3 qualified HGV Technician, PSV Technician, Bus and Coach Technician, or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic with strong industry experience. Previous teaching or training experience is not required, just a passion for your trade and a desire to help others succeed.
