Job summary

ES Recruit is recruiting experienced Structural Platers / Fabricators for a well-established structural steel fabrication business based in North Yorkshire. Day and Back shifts with overtime and enhanced rates, offering long-term, secure work in a heavy engineering environment.

Typical duties include plating heavy structural steel up to 100mm, reading drawings, marking out, heat straightening, and operating overhead cranes.

Qualifications

• Experience as Structural Steel Plater / Fabricator.
• Time-served or apprentice-trained background.
• Ability to read and work from engineering drawings.
• Experience with plate up to 100mm thickness.

Responsibilities

• Plating and fabrication of heavy structural steel.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Marking out and preparing steel components.
• Carrying out heat straightening.
• Working with overhead cranes and lifting equipment.
