Acorn Recruitment, on behalf of our client, is seeking an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter in Cardiff. The role will be based in a workshop, Monday to Friday, 7:00am to 4:00pm, focusing on servicing, maintenance and repairs of heavy plant machinery.

You will diagnose faults, service hydraulic and diesel systems, and work on equipment such as excavators, telehandlers, dumpers and crushers. Pre-employment drug screening is required.

Competenze

• Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on hydraulics and diesel engines.
• Proven experience working on heavy plant machinery.
• Experience with brands such as JCB, Hitachi, Volvo, CAT, and Kubota is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a large reputable and growing industrial logistics company, for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter based in Cardiff.

This is a long-term opportunity working primarily within a workshop environment, carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant machinery.

The Role

Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.

Servicing and maintaining a variety of heavy plant machinery.

Working on equipment including excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, and crushers.

Ensuring all machinery is maintained to a safe and operational standard.

Occasionally attending site-based repairs when required.

Requirements

Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on hydraulics and diesel engines.

Proven experience working on heavy plant machinery.

Experience with brands such as JCB, Hitachi, Volvo, CAT, and Kubota is highly desirable.

Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.

Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and compliance.
