Job summary

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting a Heavy Plant Fitter for a long-term role in Cardiff. The position focuses on servicing, maintenance, and repairs of heavy plant equipment within a workshop environment.

You will diagnose faults, service machines, and work on excavators, telehandlers, dumpers, and crushers, ensuring safe and reliable operation. Pre-employment drug screening may be required.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical knowledge with a focus on hydraulics and diesel engines.
• Proven experience working on heavy plant machinery.
• Experience with brands such as JCB, Hitachi, Volvo, CAT and Kubota is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• Strong awareness of health and safety procedures and compliance.

Responsibilities

Acorn by Synergie is currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a large reputable and growing industrial logistics company, for an experienced Heavy Plant Fitter based in Cardiff.

This is a long-term opportunity working primarily within a workshop environment, carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on a wide range of heavy plant machinery.

• Diagnosing faults and carrying out repairs on mechanical, hydraulic, and basic electrical systems.
