Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is recruiting a Field Service Engineer based in Birmingham to service heavy industrial equipment across the UK. You will repair and maintain crushers, screeners and shredders with manufacturer training provided, and have the option to take overtime to boost earnings.

The role involves door-to-door travel, a guaranteed UK-wide patch, and a company-paid van. A strong heavy industrial background and fault-finding ability are essential.

Qualifications

• Field Service Engineer role requires hands-on mechanical aptitude and willingness to travel nationally.
• Heavy industrial or plant background preferred; strong fault-finding and maintenance skills.

Responsibilities

• Attending door-to-door breakdowns at client sites across the UK.
• Repairing and maintaining heavy industrial equipment including hydraulics, motors, gears and engines.
• Carrying out preventive maintenance and fault finding; documentation of service activities.
• Working Monday to Friday 8:00am–5:00pm with optional overtime.
