Job summary

Bespoke Career Solutions Ltd is recruiting experienced Plater / Fabricators for a well-established engineering and fabrication business in the Stafford area. This long-term Temp to Perm role on day shifts offers hourly rates of £18.00–£20.00 depending on experience.

The job focuses on plating, marking out and fabrication rather than welding, producing components from drawings and specifications for heavy-duty steelwork.

Qualifications

• Experience in heavy fabrication, plating or structural steelwork.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Accurate measuring and marking out of steel components.
• Ability to work with heavy steel sections and fabricated structures.
• Proactive, safety-conscious approach to work.

Responsibilities

• Plating and fabricating heavy-duty steel components.
• Work with structural steelwork and heavy sections.
• Read and work from engineering/fabrication drawings.
• Measure, mark out, and set up components before fabrication.
• Cut, fit, and assemble steel sections.
• Use hand tools, power tools and fabrication equipment.
• Check dimensions and ensure work meets specifications.
• Prepare fabricated assemblies for welding where required.
• Maintain high standards of quality and workmanship.
• Work safely within a busy engineering environment.
