Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are recruiting a Plater for a 2-month contract based with our client in Barton-upon-Humber. Immediate start available (subject to interview process). Rate of pay is £22.00 per hour.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Plater with a background in heavy engineering or fabrication to join an established team. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing, marking out, assembling and fitting steel components in accordance with

Qualifications

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Marking out, measuring and preparing steel plates and components.
• Cutting, shaping and preparing materials for fabrication.
• Aligning, assembling and fitting steel components to drawings.
• Using hand tools, grinders and workshop equipment.
• Ensuring components meet specifications and tolerances.
• Work with fabricators and welders to meet deadlines.
• Maintain high workmanship and quality control.
• Follow all health and safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and fabrication plans.
• Marking out, measuring and preparing steel plates and structural components.
• Cutting, shaping and preparing materials for fabrication.
• Aligning, assembling and fitting steel components accurately.
• Using hand tools, grinders and other relevant workshop equipment.
• Ensuring components meet the required specifications and tolerances.
• Working closely with fabricators and welders to meet production deadlines.
• Maintaining high standards of workmanship and quality control.
• Following all health and safety procedures within the workshop.
