About the role as Heating System Design Engineer at Aira

You will be responsible for designing domestic heat pump systems that are efficient, reliable, and compliant with MCS and manufacturer guidelines.

What you’ll be doing as Heating System Design Engineer at Aira

• Designing high-quality air source heat pump installations for domestic properties, including pipe sizing, heat loss calculations, radiator sizing, and noise assessment.
• Ensuring installations comply with planning regulations and MCS standards.
• Delivering schematic diagrams that clearly communicate installation requirements to installers.
• Supporting and collaborating closely with installers.

What you'll need to have as Heating System Design Engineer at Aira

• Qualifications, training, and experience in designing domestic air source heat pump systems.
• Water regulations certificate (WRAS)
• Level 2 / 3 Award in plumbing
• Level 3 Award in Low Temperature Heating and Hot Water Systems in Dwellings

The following would be useful:

• Qualifications in system design, such as Heat Geek Heating Mastery.
• Level 3 Award in installation and maintenance of air source heat pump systems.
