R9 Recruitment is delighted to announce an exceptional opportunity to join a respected Heating Contractor Client as a Heat Pump Service Engineer. With two positions available, based in the Leeds/York area, these roles form a crucial part of a dedicated team within an expanding renewable energy business.

Position Details

• Job Title: Heat Pump Service Engineer (2 positions)
• Reports to: Regional Technical Manager
• Location: Leeds/York
• Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 per annum (Dependent on experience)

Responsibilities

• Carry out fault diagnostics and repairs for first-time fixes.
• Attend client sites to perform fault-finding and service tasks.
• Provide technical support to team engineers.
• Prepare detailed reports for clients and the Regional Technical Manager.

Suitable Candidates Must Have The Following

• A full UK driving licence
• Minimum of two years experience as a Heat Pump Service Engineer

Qualifications Including

• City & Guilds or equivalent qualification in at least one of the following:

• Heating & Ventilation
• Plumbing & heating
• Air conditioning & refrigeration

• FGAS & ODS Regulations (C&G 2079) CAT 1
• G3 unvented cylinders certified

Experience with servicing and repairing gas heating systems would also be an advantage, along with qualifications such as CCN1, CKR, HTR1, CENWAT, CEN1, and CPA1, which are preferred but not essential.

Essential Competencies

• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements and Electrical Safe Systems of Work.
• Familiarity with health and safety legislation, risk assessments, and method statements.
• Computer literacy and flexibility to support business needs.

An enhanced DBS check will be conducted for successful candidates.
