Job summary

Elite Services Group Ltd is seeking a Heating Engineer for a full-time, on-site role based in Kingston Upon Hull. The engineer will install, service and maintain central heating systems in domestic and commercial settings, including renewable and conventional technologies.

Qualifications

• Strong central heating installation, servicing, fault-finding and safety testing capabilities.
• Experience with LPG appliances and systems, including safe handling and maintenance.
• Plumbing skills related to heating systems and integration with renewables.
• Basic building maintenance knowledge of property infrastructure and related trades.
• Customer service skills with ability to explain technical issues clearly.
• Relevant certifications (Gas Safe, LPG accreditation, NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing/Heating) are advantageous.
• Experience with renewable heating technologies (air source heat pumps, solar thermal) is a plus.
• Ability to work safely on-site and cooperate within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Heating Engineer role based in Kingston Upon Hull. The Heating Engineer will install, service, and maintain central heating systems, including renewable and conventional technologies, in domestic and commercial properties. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing faults, conducting safety checks, carrying out planned maintenance, and completing all relevant documentation to industry standards. The role also involves working closely with the plumbing and electrical teams, ensuring integrated, efficient installations and supporting decarbonising projects. • Candidates should possess building maintenance skills, including basic understanding of property infrastructure, fabric, and related trades.
• Candidates should possess customer service skills, including clear communication, professionalism, and ability to explain technical issues in accessible terms.
• Relevant industry qualifications or certifications (e.g., Gas Safe registration, LPG accreditation, NVQ or equivalent in Plumbing/Heating) are highly beneficial.
• Experience with renewable heating technologies (air source heat pumps, solar thermal, and low-carbon systems) is an advantage.
• Ability to work safely on-site, follow health and safety procedures, and collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary engineering team.
